THE BAND
Jakke Jacobs
Bassist. Vormde eind de jaren zeventig , samen met Dirk Versmissen en Ben Versweyveld, de basis van de rhythm & bluesband Full House. Deze band trad gedurende vele jaren op tal van podia op in België en Nederland. Speelde tevens in the Blues Tops. Richtte in 2008 Blue Sparrow op, waarin zijn zoon Jasper aanvankelijk drumde.
Bass. In the late 70's, with Dirk Versmissen and Ben Versweyveld, he formed the backbone of the rhythm & bluesband Full House. This band performed, during several years, a lot on many stages in Belgium and Holland. He also played in the Blues Tops. He started Blue Sparrow in 2008, together with his son Jasper.
'Big Voice' Ben Versweyveld
Zanger van de bluesformatie Full House, die hij eind jaren 70 oprichtte samen met Jakke Jacobs en Dirk Versmissen en die in de jaren 80 en 90 furore maakte in het Belgische en Nederlandse Bluescircuit. Hij Was al heel jong gepassioneerd bezig met vooral akoestische blues in verschillende groepen, o.a. samen met Dirk Versmissen in de groep Riverboat Shuffle.
Singer in the bluesband Full house, which he co-started with Dirk Versmissen and Jakke jacobs in the late 1970's. The band was successful in both Belgium and Holland in the 80's and 90's. He was especially passionate about acoustic blues and he sang in different bluesbands (e.g. Riverboat Shuffle with Dirk Versmissen).
Eric Mertens
Eric teistert al vanaf zijn prille jeugd de drums. Via diverse Belgische en Nederlandse bands kwam hij in 1990 bij Full House terecht, een naam die vaker genoemd zal worden op deze pagina. De in 1960 geboren Arendonkenaar is ook al meer dan 30 jaar actief bij de populaire Kempische coverband Swizzle. “Perfect combineerbaar, ik hou van verschillende muziekgenres en een beetje variatie”, aldus de ervaren slagwerker.
From his youth Eric tortures the drums. After playing in different Belgian and Dutch bands he joined Full House in 1990. Born in 1960 this guy from Arendonk also plays, for more than 30 years, in the popular Campine cover band Swizzle. “A perfect mix with the bluesband. I love all kinds of music styles and a bit of variety”, the experienced percussionist says.
Marc Jansen
Pianist, woont in Breda. Speelde vanaf zijn 14e jaar in diverse Nederlandse bands, waaronder Queen Z Bluesband. Maakte in 2001 de overstap naar België door zich aan te sluiten bij Full House en is nadien nooit meer naar een Nederlandse band teruggekeerd
Piano player living in Breda, Holland. From the age of 14 he played in numerous Dutch bands, like the Queen Z Blues band. In 2001 he crossed the border and joined the Belgian rhythm & blues band Full House, never to return to a Dutch band again.
Kobe Schroeven
Nog niet eens geboren bij de oprichting van Full House maar vanaf zijn geboorte geobsedeerd door rootsmuziek, met een voorkeur voor de blues. Hij Speelde als gitarist bij de Brusselse bluesgroepen The Blue Flame en (als stand in bij) The Fried Flying Chicken Wings en bij de Aarschotse groep Coralee! Gepassioneerd door de elektrische blues van weleer, probeert hij de grote bluesmeesters eer aan te doen in zijn eigen stijl.
Not even born when Full House was founded, but obsessed with rootsmusic since the day he was born, with a preference for the blues. He played the guitar in The Blue Flame and, as a stand in, in The Fried Flying Chicken Wings, both Brussels based bands. He also played the guitar in another bluesband, Coralee! Passionate about the electric blues from days gone by, he tries to honour the old bluesmasters in his own way.
